El Paso Dentist Helped Locals With FREE Dentistry

El Paso dentist Dr. Mehrnoosh Darj helped residents of El Paso and Socorro during this difficult economic period by giving 2 free emergency dental treatment days on Oct. 26, 2012 and Nov 2, 2012.

This is the second time this year Dr. Darj offered her services at no cost. Her staff,
Dr. Abid and Dr. Kean also volunteered their time.

Over 170 people showed up at both locations and Dr. Darj was able to treat 154 of them with various procedures
ranging from fillings and cleanings to extractions.

More than $18000 were given in free dentistry.

“I wanted to do my part as a dentist to help and hope other health care
professionals would join us in a similar effort in the future” said Dr. Darj.

Free iPad for good deeds

An El Paso dentist is giving away three new iPads to local youth for their good deeds. Dr. Mehrnoosh Darj has launched an essay contest, which will end May 25, that is open to any youth 18 or younger. Children are urged to join the contest by submitting an essay about a good deed they have done. Darj will be giving away a new iPad to each winner who submits one of the three best essays. Whether helping a senior citizen cross the street or helping an elderly woman with her groceries, or organizing a fundraiser at school to help other children in the community who are less fortunate, tell your good deed story to Darj and you could win a brand new iPad. Children can submit their essays online.

El Paso dentist Mehrnoosh Darj is offering free emergency dental treatment at all her clinics during the next few weeks. The free Emergency Dental Treatment Day is for adults or children who cannot afford dentistry.

  • 1861 Robert Wynn, Suite D, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday.
  • 10760 North Loop in Socorro, 9 a.m.-4 p.m Feb. 25.
  • 211 Texas, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. March 3.”Anyone with a dental emergency or in need of a cleaning and cannot afford it will be provided with Emergency Dental Treatment at no cost on a first-come, first-served basis,” Darj said. “I would like to do my part as a dentist to help and hope other health-care providers would join me and organize a similar effort in their community to help keep our fellow Americans healthy.”

EL PASO – We’ve all heard that a healthy smile, is a beautiful smile. One local dentist wants to make sure that all El Pasoans have access to quality dental care.
In honor of Dental Health Month, Dr. Mernoosh Darj is offering free dental work, which could include a regular cleaning or an emergency dental treatment.

“We decided to do it one day at each of our offices because we wanted to give back to the community,” Dr.Darj said. “In these economic times, some people may be hurting. It’s also part of our project to educate the public a little more and those who may not have the chance to go to the dentist.”

Dr. Darj will be offering the free service on three more days, listed below between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

EL PASO, Texas — In tough economic times, people who are strapped for cash often forgo expenditures that aren’t deemed urgent — things like car maintenance or annual physicals.

One El Paso dentisttells ABC-7 she realizes that people will put off going to the dentist for the same reason, even though dental health is important for overall health.

Dentaldisease is an infectious disease. And it communicates through our entire system,” said Dr. Mehrnoosh Darj. “And it’s very important for people to be aware and treat dental disease.”

That’s one reason why Darj is offering free emergency dentalwork at all three of her offices in El Paso and Socorro. It’s in honor of Dental Health Month, which is in February.

Darj said she’s only held one other free clinic, which was at the end of 2007. She said 100 people showed up. This time around, clients will get an oral evaluation and either a cleaning, a filling or a tooth extraction.

“There are a lot of people in our community that need help that may not be able to get it,” Darj said. “We surveyed our patients and our families, and this is what they asked for. This is for the community.”
