Laser Teeth Whitening – El Paso Dentist

One of the most popular dental procedures people choose to have is laser whitening. When being introduced to new people, our smiles, and therefore our teeth, are one of the first things people will notice about us. Don’t let stained or discolored teeth stand in your way of feeling confident and social. Instead, having your teeth laser whitened is the perfect solution to this common problem.

Over time our teeth become stained after coming in contact with food and drinks such as black coffee and tea, cranberry juice, soda or tomato sauce among other items. These stains can make your teeth look yellow and dingy, and will draw people’s attention away from what you are saying and focus on your mouth. Luckily, there is a simple and safe teeth whitening procedure that can eliminate these embarrassing stains.

This easy and affordable whitening procedure involves a laser and a whitening gel. First, the clear bleaching gel is applied to the teeth. After the gal has been put on the teeth a laser light is used to activate the gel’s crystals. Once these crystals have been activated they will absorb the energy from the laser and use it to penetrate the teeth’s enamel, whitening the teeth. The length of this procedure depends on the degree of teeth discoloration you have. The best part is that it normally takes only one procedure to have a visibly whiter smile!

El Paso dentist, Dr. Mehrnoosh Darj is raising donations for a local food pantry and helping people improve their dental health by lowering their dental bill.

A report from The New York Times revealed the trend of Americans delaying health treatments even if they are insured. The reason behind this is an economic reason: many insured could not afford the co-payments

Dr. Darj who is a practicing dentist in the El Paso area knows that this delay of treatment usually leads to bigger health problems. Delayed dental care can easily lead to gum diseases which then could cause weakened immune problems, leading to heart, lung and liver diseases. Even pregnant mothers could have still-born or pre-mature babies due to gum diseases.

At the same time, how could a person see a dentist if he or she could not even afford three square meals a day?

Dr Darj explained, “It is a growing problem. Food demands at the local food pantries have increased and yet food donations have decreased.”

“Among the hungry in America are 16 million children. This is very alarming.” said Dr Darj, dentist El Paso.

With some long thinking, she came out with an idea to help in both areas: help Americans with dental care and also assist the local food pantries.

Dr Darj is encouraging her patients to bring non-perishable food donations, and offering the dental cleaning, exam and x-rays for only $39. And all of the $39 and food will go to the local food bank: El Pasoans Fighting Hunger.

When asked why she would give such a discount and donate all the proceeds, Dr Darj said, “Local communities are strong not because of money but because of the free spirit of helping one’s neighbors. In a troubled economy that affects many Americans, if I could get the public to help the hungry families while getting their basic dental work done, why not?”

The campaign spearheaded by Dr. Darj to benefit people in need of dental care as well as providing more donations to the local food bank will end on February 10, 2015.

“I would like to ask everyone who now knows about our program to spread the word to their friends and neighbors. The more people know about this effort, the more needy families can receive aid.” El Paso TX dentist Dr. Darj concluded.

When is a dental supportive denture used? An implant-supported denture is used when a person doesn’t have any teeth in the jaw, but has enough bone in the jaw to support implants. An implant-supported denture has special attachments that snap onto attachments on the implants. Implant supportive dentures can be easily cleaned, but it is not recommended to sleep with dentures.

TMJ Dentist El Paso TX, Dr. Mehrnoosh Darj, speaks about TMJ disorders and headache problems. When we are experiencing lower back pain, body tension, headaches or shoulder pain, it doesn’t necessarily mean that there is a problem with the neck, head or shoulders. A misaligned jaw can be the main reason for all these symptoms. A dentist will be the first person to detect this problem simply by checking the mouth. In some cases, individuals have one shoulder higher than the other, misaligned hips, a crooked back, and more. Pediatric Dentist El Paso TX, Children’s First Dental Visit, Mehrnoosh Darj, 79936, 79935 Children Dentist

Pediatric Dentist El Paso TX, Dr. Mehrnoosh Darj, speaks about children’s first dental visit. Most experts recommend that you take your child to his or her first dental appointment within about six months of the first tooth’s arrival, or by the time the child turns one. Babies who are bottle fed have a higher chance of developing dental cavities and decay. Baby tooth decay happens when the presence of extra sugar presents in formula milk. This sugar acts as food for the bacteria in the mouth, allowing it to grow and harm the baby’s gums and teeth. It is also recommended for parents to keep their children away from chips, bread, juice, and milk before sleep time. Denture Dentist El Paso TX, Dental Bridge & Dental Crown, Dr. Darj, 79936 Dental Dentures

Denture Dentist El Paso TX, Dr. Mehrnoosh Darj, speaks about the options available to replacing missing teeth like dental fixed bridge & dental crown. The first and most efficient option to replacing missing teeth is dental implants. Dental implants are long lasting tooth root replacements that oral surgeons implant into the jawbone to simulate the root of a pre-existing tooth. Unlike dentures or bridges, dental implants don’t move or shift and they can last a lifetime. Dental crowns are the second option available to replacing missing teeth. A dental crown is a tooth shaped cap that is placed over the tooth to restore its shape and size, strength, and improve its appearance. Dental bridges are the third option available to replacing missing teeth. A dental bridge is a type of crown that is used to fill an empty space between two teeth, which usually occurs after a tooth has been extracted.
